The Black Sun of Hiroshima

65 years after the Hiroshima and Nagasaki bombings, the film exposes the myth constructed post-1945 about the first use of the atomic weapon. Our historical investigation places the scientists on the Manhattan Project back at the heart of the story. It will show how their choices and their desire to experiment on civilians lead directly to the atomic bombings. This film will reveal how their research program continued after 1945 in Japan with the creation of the Atomic Bomb Casualty Commission.
